IPB’s Vice-President, Joseph Gerson, spoke at the Gensuikyo International Forum, part of the 2019 Bikini Day Commemorative Program in Japan. The event marked the 57th anniversary of the Bikini disaster caused by a U.S. hydrogen bomb test in the year of 1954.

Reiner Braun is the former Executive Director of IPB. He studied German Literature, History and Journalism. Since 1982, he has been actively involved in the Peace Movement, working in the office of the “Krefelder Appeal” against new nuclear weapons in Europe. He was the Executive Director for Scientists for Peace and Sustainability for several years starting in 1983 (Germany).
Binalakshmi “Bina” Nepram born in Manipur Nation currently located in India’s Northeast region next to Myanmar is an indigenous scholar, published author and civil rights activist spearheading work on making women-led peace, and disarmament meaningful to our lives. She is an author of five books, her two most recent being “Where are our Women in Decision Making on UNSCR 1325” (2016) & “Deepening Democracy, Diversity, Racial and Gender Violence in India” (2019). She currently serves her second term as board member of the IPB.
Etienne De Jonghe was the secretary-general of Pax Christi International for almost 30 years (1978-2007) and currently serves his second term as board member of the IPB. Dr. Enkhsaikhan Jargalsaikhan is an international lawyer and served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, represented his country in Austria and at the United Nations. He was re-elected as board member of IPB in October 2022.

Jordi Calvo has a PhD in peace, conflicts and development. Economist and peace culture, disarmament and defense economy researcher. He is the coordinator of the Centre Delàs and armed conflicts, defense economy and cooperation lecturer (UJI, URL, UOC).
Aslak Storaker has been elected as IPB board member in October 2022. He workes as a librarian in Tvedestrand, Norway and has been involved in the Norwegian peace movement since 2001.
Annette Brownlie has been elected as board member of IPB in October 2022.
She has been very actively involved in the peace movement for over 40 years. She participated in the People for Nuclear Disarmament (PND), a movement which developed during the last nuclear threat peak in early 1980, as well as in the climate movement in the early 1990’s-1995. She has further been co-convener of Just Peace Qld from 2001-2015.
Ernest Gibson Kpordotsi has been elected as board member of IPB in October 2022.
He currently is co-founder and Director of Programs and Projects at the Bureau of African Peace in Ghana. Before that, he was Yes Abroad Programs Coordinator at the Intercultural Exchange Program as well as Director of Operations at the Ghana United Nations Association.
