The Institute for Global Peacecraft is an independent research institute based in Stockholm working to develop a coherent ontological framework for peace studies and practice. The field currently operates without shared definitions of its foundational concepts, which has resulted in fragmented efforts and limited capacity for systematic coordination among the thousands of organizations working on peace globally. Our research aims to provide the theoretical foundations that could enable practitioners to understand how their diverse activities relate to a more unified understanding of what peace work fundamentally entails.
