12-21 September 2026
International Day of Peace
On National Days of Actions, 12-21 September, people from all walks of life and communities across the country, in cities and regions, are gathering around united calls for Peace – Not War, Cancel AUKUS and End the US alliance.
September 15 also marks the 5th anniversary of the LNP government signing the AUKUS submarines pact with the US and UK, in 2021. More than $368 billion to be paid by the people of Australia – $30 million a day over the next 30 years.
National Days of Actions also coincide with the recent publicly released and verified research data showing that the US military and US weapons corporations control, or have unimpeded access, to more than half of Australia’s 100 military facilities across the country. The US now has access to more than half Australia’s military bases – could it drag the country unwillingly into war? | Australian military | The Guardian
