Zubaida Karim is a Research Assistant in the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Military Expenditure and Arms Production Programme.
She holds an MSc in Applied Social Research from Stockholm University, along with degrees in Sociology and International and Comparative Politics from the American University of Central Asia, Bishkek, Kygyzstan. Her research focuses on military spending trends, arms production, and security dynamics in the Middle East, Central and South Asia, with a particular interest in the interplay between armed conflict and arms production and spending.
- President Mugwena Maluleke, Education International
Mugwena Maluleke, is the President of Education International, which represents 33 million teachers and education support personnel in 180 countries and territories through 375 member organisations. Dr. Maluleke is also the General Secretary of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU). A former teacher and school principal, he is a leading figure in the trade union movement, and a fierce advocate for quality public education, union rights, and social justice.
- Vice President Annie Enriquez-Geron, Public Services Labour Independent Confederation
Annie Geron is a National President of the Public Services Labour Independent Confederation (PSILink) representing more than 80 000 state workers in the Philippines and Vice President of Public Services International: the Global Union Federation representing over 30 million public sector workers in 154 countries.
- Co-President Corazon Fabros, International Peace Bureau (IPB)
Corazon Valdez Fabros was re-elected IPB Co‑President in 2025. A lawyer by profession, she is a founding member of the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (Philippines). She is a core member of the Peace and Security circles at both the Asia–Europe Peoples Forum and the ASEAN Peoples Forum, leads the STOP the War Coalition Philippines and Nuclear Free Pilipinas, and serves as the Philippines focal point for the No Nukes Asia Forum. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Dismantle Military–Industrial Complex Network.
