Just Peace

Just Peace is a Brisbane-based organization whose aim is to raise public awareness about alternatives to war and the necessity of justice in achieving lasting peace. It was formed by a group of ordinariy citizens who ere concerned with the direction the Australian Government was taking with a heavy reliance on following the US militaritic path. Just Peace stands as both a group of locally active individuals and as a group member of the gloval peace movement. “We come from all walks of life, all ages and all political persuasions. Our one commonality is our commitment to a safe, just and peaceful world.

Women for Development

The NGO Women for Development was formed in 1996 and was registered by law in 1997, is based in Gyumri, Armenia. The mission of the organization is to contribute to the implementation of democratic reforms, poverty reduction, development processes ongoing in Armenia as well as protection of human rights and establishment of peace in the region. In 2002, WFD initiated the project peace and conflict resolution education in schools, within the frames of the 2001-2010 International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for Children of the World announces by UN. Since 2008 WFD has been working towards rural community mobilization and development in eight beneficiary communities of Shirak region. There are eight community centers established, where WFD supports local volunteers to identify and find solutions for various problems.
