On March 19, 2025, join us for an impactful and insightful online webinar aimed at amplifying the voices of women from conflict zones worldwide. Hosted by World BEYOND War, Southern Anti-Racism Network, International Peace Bureau (IPB), Convention for Panafricanism and Progress (CPP), and CodePink, this event will focus on the profound effects of armed conflict on women and children and highlight efforts to address these challenges.
About the Webinar:
This webinar will feature speakers from diverse conflict zones, including Belarus, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gaza, Lebanon, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Korea, Sudan, and Syria. These women will share personal stories about the physical, emotional, and social tolls of war on women and children, shedding light on their resilience in the face of unimaginable hardships.
In addition to these powerful testimonies, speakers will also discuss local initiatives aimed at promoting safety, healing, and long-term peace in their communities.
The timing of this event aligns with the UN Decade for People of African Descent (2025-2034), which focuses on “Recognition, Justice, Development.” Many of the countries represented in the webinar are African, underscoring the critical need for targeted interventions to support African women and children affected by conflict.
Why Attend?
By participating in this webinar, you will gain invaluable insight into the realities of life in conflict zones and hear firsthand accounts of courage and resilience. You will also become part of a global movement advocating for peace, justice, and the protection of women and children in conflict-affected regions.
