Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania | April 24–27, 2025
We invite you to a transformative conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, from April 24–27, 2025, as part of the International Observer Group for Peace and Climate Justice.
Here and across neighboring countries, history has left deep scars—from the tragedies of World War II to today’s ongoing displacement of refugees from Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. These are compounded by the harsh effects of climate change, which now causes extreme weather, migration, hardship, and suffering.
Together, we raise our voices for peace on earth and peace with the earth.
Our Call
We demand:
-
An end to war and the abolition of nuclear weapons.
-
Global cooperation to address climate change and its consequences.
We invite your participation, either in person or through messages of solidarity. Let’s expose the empty rhetoric of leaders who invest in weapons but ignore the climate crisis. Let’s build trust, solutions, and solidarity for a livable future.
Bring Your Voice
Bring your:
-
Experiences
-
Struggles
-
Organizational support
-
Stories of hope and resistance
Let’s share our visions for peaceful coexistence and demand equal rights and global cooperation. Let’s transform military spending into care, food, and protection for all.
Why Now?
80 years after World War II, we face a pivotal moment. The institutions created to protect peace and human rights—like the United Nations, OSCE, and the Helsinki Accords—are under threat from distrust and double standards. We call for a revival of peace-building agreements, and most importantly, the rise of grassroots diplomacy and people-to-people solidarity.
Let the commemoration of WWII’s end be a springboard for a new era grounded in solidarity, humanity, and environmental justice.
