Women Concern is a nonprofit organization established under Congolese law that promotes women’s empowerment and girls’ education. Focusing on security projects, it actively combats small arms proliferation and illicit use through community-based disarmament programs and peace dialogues.

The organization fosters understanding and cooperation among community members through sensitization initiatives, promoting sustainable peace. It prioritizes women’s socioeconomic empowerment, providing resources and opportunities for active participation in decision-making processes. Women Concern has built strong advocacy capacities, successfully influencing local and national policies on disarmament and gender equality. Its collaborations with international partners enhance its advocacy efforts, ensuring women’s voices are central to peacebuilding and development initiatives.
