Once again the dates of August 6th and 9th resonate in our ears. The term “hibakusha” is used to refer to those who survived the 1945 bombings and the subsequent health effects caused by the US bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Hideko Tamura is one such survivor, and it is our great fortune that she has agreed to talk with us about her life experiences, her work and her hopes for the future. She is joined by US anti-war campaigner Lisa Savage, and co-president of the International Peace Bureau, Cora Fabros.
