We are thrilled to invite you to an event co-organized with METO, the Middle East Treaty Organization! This event will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the history of METO’s work and their future plans, particularly in relation to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the vision for the future of the region.
METO’s vision is to establish a peaceful, integrated, and thriving Middle East built on human and environmental security. As a coalition of civil society activists and practitioners, METO seeks to rid the Middle East of all weapons of mass destruction, using this as a gateway toward regional security and peace. They advance their goals through policy, advocacy, and educational programs.
We are pleased and honored to have the following speakers:
- Sharon Dolev, Founder and Executive Director of METO and Council Member of IPB;
- Emad Kiyaei, Director of METO.
- Asmaa Guedira, Women’s Environment Leadership
The event will be moderated by Sean Conner, IPB Executive Director, who will lead a Q&A session at the end of the presentations.
Join us for this enlightening discussion about METO’s impactful work and their mission to create a safer, more secure Middle East.
The event will be held in person at the IPB headquarters in Berlin and will also be available online. Registration is free but required. A small reception will be offered at the end of the event.
