About the Speaker:
Anatol Lieven is a journalist, author, and leading critic of militarism and great-power confrontation in international politics. As Director of the Eurasia Program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, he advocates for diplomacy, restraint, and realistic paths to peace, particularly in relation to Russia, Ukraine, NATO, and U.S. foreign policy. His work consistently challenges imperial narratives and promotes cooperative, people-centered approaches to global security.
